"THE REFLECTION OF JOSEPH, THE DREAMER" "O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens." Psalms 8:1
We greet you in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to once again share a word out of the rich Word of God. Let's reflect back on the life of Joseph, the Dreamer. Genesis 37:5 says "And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more". Joseph dreamed a dream, and when the "brethren" saw him being favored and "loved" more by his father, more than the other sons, it brought about a spirit of jealousy. Joseph is the eleventh son of Jacob, and, the first son of Rachel, but God's favorite. That's you my brother, that's you my sister. "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us that we should be called the Sons of God". (I John 3:1) Joseph told his dream and was hated for telling it to his brothers. Notice that he was only saying what God had showed him in the dream and he ended up in the pit and sold into Egypt. But God was with him, and delivered him out of all his afflictions and gave him favor and wisdom in the sight of the King and his own house. Young man, young lady, the dream that God has given you, you and only you can stop it by what you speak out of your mouth. The brethren (such as Joseph's) can slow down your progress, they may even hate you, but your progress is measured only by what you do or say. Proverbs 6:2 states, "Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, and thou art taken with the words of thy mouth." So wakeup, you dreamer, give life to the dream with the Word of God. Pursue your dreams, visions, and your goals in this life. Only trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not into your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall give you clear directions for your path (excerpt from Proverbs 3:5). You should follow your dreams. Even though the road is rough at times, if God brought Joseph through then, why not you now? Life is and can be full of challenges, with ups and downs. There will be times when it looks like nobody ares. The devil and even some of your so-called friends, will tell you that you cannot pursue dreams or that it's not for you. I say to you be patient, wait on the Lord, lift up your head, and see your dreams as Joseph did see his. FROM THE PIT TO THE KING'S HOUSE! What a dream! Yours in Christ, Elder Wilbert Jones (The "Weekly Meditation" is renewed each Monday.)
